Ontario Association for Act and Fact

The Ontario Association for ACT & FACT (OAAF) is a voluntary organization supporting Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Flexible ACT (FACT) teams across Ontario. Their teams provide community-based psychiatric treatment, rehabilitation, and support to individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness. As the collective voice for ACT and FACT teams province-wide, OAAF also serves as a central hub for job postings, professional resources, learning opportunities, and sector news.

Their old WordPress website made it nearly impossible for visitors to find any of it. Users and search engines couldn’t find resources, locations, and opportunities that existed because of disorganized navigation. Mawazo partnered with OAAF to rebuild their digital presence from the ground up, leading a full UX, design, and development engagement on Umbraco. We mapped out a clear information architecture so that resources, news, and organizational listings are surfaced intuitively. We built a custom job board directly into the platform, allowing partner organizations to post opportunities that applicants can apply to directly. The result is a site that finally does justice to the breadth of what OAAF offers, and gives OAAF's team the ability to keep their content current without relying on a developer for every update.
