All our clients essentially want the same from their web presence: more revenue! MAWAZO Marketing helps businesses in Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville by putting together a strategy for their internet marketing, and by carrying it out as their in-house marketing team.
Digital Marketing Strategy is geared to acquiring new leads for your business, engaging and nurturing them, converting them to customers, retaining their loyalty and turning them
into brand ambassadors.
Business Leaders often choose Action before Strategy. When Pokemon Go came out, we received calls from prospects asking us whether they should be using it to generate leads for their business. The reply is always the same: “What is your digital marketing strategy?”. Most business owners don’t have an answer to that question!
We believe that it is essential to start with formulating a digital marketing strategy. The opportunities from digital marketing are constantly growing, and every business can use it to increase their revenue. However, if you don’t have a clear strategy, then you won’t be able to choose the right tactics!
Unfortunately, most companies we speak to still don’t have a clearly defined digital marketing strategy…
At MAWAZO we have developed a step-by-step approach to help our clients define a robust digital marketing strategy. The method is complete, but also simple enough to lead to a practical, actionable strategy within a few consultancy sessions.
The main elements of your digital marketing strategy
Who are your Ideal Clients?
You can’t be everything to everybody. We help our customers identify their best clients, so they can focus. These are typically the clients that are most profitable, most pleasant to work with, and give you the most referrals!
We then create Buyer Personas for your ideal clients. These are fictional, generalized representations of your ideal clients, and help you understand them better. We describe their demographics, characteristics and behaviours, and needs.
How are your Competitors doing?
Next we analyse your competitors. For many of our customers we find different competitors online! Together with you we choose the 3 to 5 most important competitors and analyse their web presence and uncover their strengths and weaknesses.
What’s your Differentiator?
In the next step we define your Differentiator, or Unique Selling Proposition. We help you appeal to your ideal client by creating an approach, product or service that differentiates you from your competitors.
What’s your Core Message?
We start with the creation of a Marketing Purpose Statement. It describes how you want to be perceived by your audience, in plain English.
From that we distill your Core Marketing Message. It describes what pain you solve for your target market.
Finally, we create a tagline for you, which very succinctly shouts out your message!
How will you tell your Story?
Every business has a story to tell, and to tell your story, you need to create content. Content is the voice of your strategy! We will help you tell the story to your ideal clients.
First we do extensive research online to find the keyword phrases that your ideal clients are using to find your product or service. We create a list of the most effective keyword phrases that are relevant to your audience. This is the basis Search Engine Optimisation we do for your website.
The next step is the creation of a quarterly or annual Content Calendar. We identify the topics for your content, and the relevant audiences, and we create a calendar to publish this content. The Content Calendar forms the basis of your Content Marketing (internal link)
How can we Measure success?
On the internet, everything is measurable. That is the main difference with traditional marketing! However, the amount of information we can get from such tools as Google Analytics can be quite overwhelming, and nobody has the time to go through all the details.
We will identify the Key Performance Indicators for you, and establish a dashboard to keep track of these metrics. This allows us to optimize your digital marketing strategy over time.
