About the Company

Das Parts is a one -stop-shop for all things Volkswagen and Audi, with certified Volkswagen mechanics and almost 5,000 SQFT of new and used parts.

In 8 years they have dismantled more than 300 cars so that the parts could be reused and recycled. VW owners travel from far to their Cambridge, Ontario location to buy quality used car parts.

The Problem

The business grew quickly, and they were not able to update their operations to meet the growth. The operations of Das Parts became inefficient, with a lot of time spent on finding parts in their enormous warehouse and managing information.

There was no inventory system to track car parts, and sales, warehousing and invoicing were all handled separately.

The cost of operations was high, and the sales process was dependent on what was in the head of the business owner.

Das Parts turned to Mawazo Marketing to create a warehousing and inventory system which would work seamlessly with an eCommerce website, all integrated with their Quickbooks Online (QBO) bookkeeping. 

Prototype Development

We created a prototype to capture the client requirements in detail, and ensure seamless connectivity with their QBO account.

eCommerce Website

The eCommerce website provides customers easy ways to find parts such as entering their car details to find compatible parts, browsing through categories, or starting from the specific car the team of Das Parts dismantled to find the parts that came from it.

Warehouse and Inventory Management Backoffice

We developed a barcode system for the warehouse to manage storage locations, and to label new parts. Staff can now scan a part to find the location in the warehouse. Sales of parts are automatically removed from inventory, whether purchased online or in the shop. This also automatically updates inventory within QBO.

Integration with QuickBooks Online

We worked with Das Parts to improve their QBO setup:

  • Automatic creation of invoices from in-store and online orders.
  • Detailed reporting on revenue and profit.
  • Synchronization of inventory.
