About the Company
Winterberry Weight Management Clinic was started by Dr. Steven Zizzo, after his own journey of weight loss and weight management. He experienced first-hand the general lack of knowledge of medical practitioners of the disease and how to treat those that are suffering from it.
The health care professionals at Winterberry Weight Management Clinic truly understands the disease of obesity and the struggle of weight management. Patients are given ongoing support during their personalized programs
The Problem
Obesity has already been declared an epidemic by Canadian and Global health organizations, and yet patients are unable to get appropriate treatment. Rather than supporting patients with the disease, they are shaming them for their lifestyle choices, or sending them away to “diet and exercise”.

Mawazo has been working with Dr. Zizzo to digitize his renowned program to be able to offer it to more people via a mobile App. Watch for this to be launched soon!
While the App is in development, this website has been created as a tool to provide ongoing helpful information to those that need it. It is also providing some support to provide empathy and compassion, with the hope of easing any guilt that they may feel.
The Result
Content is constantly added to the website to provide up-to-date information about the evolving science, medical treatments and medications available. This generates a positive online reputation, and establishes Dr. Zizzo as a leader in this subject matter.
